I built Falco to fill the gaps I kept hitting in other planning tools, especially the gap where you want to plan part of a trip yourself and hand other pieces off to an advisor. Most tools assume you'll do everything or nothing, and real trips are usually somewhere in between. Falco is the shared workspace where my clients and I plan trips together, and the live itinerary they carry while traveling.
Hi, I'm Kevin. I've traveled to over 40 countries, and for me half the fun has always been the planning. After 35+ years building software (the last 15 at Google), I retired from the 9-to-5 to combine my two passions: great software and great trips.
I think travel planning should be open, hands-on, and fun. You shouldn't have to choose between doing it all yourself and handing everything to someone else.
I take on a few trips at a time, on purpose. I'm not running a volume business. Keeping the client list short means every trip gets my full attention.
Here's a rough picture of where I've traveled. Blue doesn't mean I know every corner of a country, but it does help give context and direction to the deep research that I do when planning trips.
Full transparency. You see every option, every price, every trade-off. If there's a cheaper option that works, I'll tell you about it.
Your control. You decide how much help you want, booking by booking. No pressure, no upsell, no minimum.
Honest about rates. If you can do better booking somewhere else, I'll say so. Some things (like rental cars) are often cheaper on Expedia or Costco Travel, and I'll tell you that upfront.
Preferred-partner rates. Through networks like Virtuoso, Four Seasons Preferred, and Rosewood Elite, I can often get upgrades, resort credits, breakfast, and late checkout you won't see booking direct or through an OTA. Same hotel, better stay.
Local specialists. In many destinations, the best on-the-ground operators (private guides, drivers, trip support; destination management companies, in industry terms) only work through travel advisors. On complex trips, that access often matters more than any hotel perk.
You don't pay me directly. If you book through me, I earn a standard industry commission from the travel provider, the same arrangement that unlocks the preferred-partner rates and perks. Commissions vary by booking, and I don't let that steer my recommendations: the best fit for you is often a low- or zero-commission option, and that's what I'll suggest. No planning fee for now, though I may introduce a modest one in the future.
